Got my Ryedale today and sorted one box with it. Weighed the results, did the math, and had 750 copper and 1750 zinc, or 30% copper. Resorted them and reweighed with the exact same results.

I need to get some Dri Slide. If anyone has a suggestion on the best price please share.

I ordered Dri Slide on Amazon, paid about $15.
Be sure to get the bottle w/ the needle applicator.
I used Remington "Rem Oil" while waiting for shipping, it worked very well.

I did a search and didn't find any killer deals out there for Dri Slide. The stuff is awfully pricey, imho.

I searched all four boxes and ended up with a copper percentage of 29.3%

if anybody has a brass intrument, valve oil works well for me. probably doesn't work as well as dri-slide, but hey, its cheaper!!

Glad to see your getting good use out of it. Yes Dri-Slide is expensive (in my eye's also), but you don't have to use a lot of it. I find the best way to use it is to put a drop on the ball bearing, a drop on the rollers, and then use a rag to spread another couple of drops onto the slide and under the wheel.

Be sure to use the same rag over and over and eventually you will have a well impregnated rag that you can just wipe on the surfaces and you won't have to use as much Dri-Slide over time.

After sorting $100 I weighed the copper on a cheap digital 55 lb. capacity postage scale. Dividing it out, there should be $29.31 in copper pennies. Dumped the zincs today and they totaled $70.57, leaving $29.43 for coppers. The accuracy of that cheap scale never ceases to amaze me.
