WooHoo - newbie just hit the 5-lb. mark

Postby helix_rider » Sat Nov 27, 2010 5:18 pm

Ok, it's not a drop in the bucket compared to most of you guys, but I just hit the 5-lb. mark on Cu pennies.

Well, i'm new and you have to start somewhere. Well, that's where i'm at.
Not worth much I realize, but what the hay.

Bully!

5 pounds of copper feels nice :D
If I have the gift of prophesy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to move mountains but do not have love I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned but do not have love it profits me nothing.

Sure does, only 95 more pounds to go. I figured that I would set a goal of 100-lbs.
I can always set a new goal when the first one is reached, but we'll see.

I guess I need to start buying boxes.

Eventually you'll be eyeballing 55-gallon drums for storage. Just remember I told you that.

Nice job. I'm a hand sorter who just started about a year ago. I had a couple of empty glass half-gallon milk bottles that I figured would be good for coppers. I thought I would never fill them both up. One year and 6 full half-gallon bottles later (along with half of another huge glass jar), and I'm looking to "upgrade" my storage situation. :)

Congrats on the first 5 pounds! I remember my first 5 pounds.. it kind of snowballs after that. Next goal should be to double your holdings.. 10 pounds.. then 20. Careful, this copper hoarding thing is rumoured to be addictive.
