I know that from years past it was advantageous to separate the Canadians and Wheats from the copper hoard, but is it still true today? I remember pulling all the Canadians and rolling them separate for storage. I even sold a mini-CTU of all rolled Canadian cents on Fleabay many years ago. I still have my "flip" boards that I used to cull all the Wheats and Canadians, but if there isn't a demand/profit then I'll only pull the Wheats.

Canadian CTU's still sell more then U.S CTU's do.

I get between 10 and 20 Canadians in each roll for the most part so maybe I'll start the hoard within the hoard again, lol. I'll have to look in my stash cause I remember rolling a couple rolls of straight "goosies". Don't remember the exact name of them, but they have the goose flying on the back.

Thats what it is, sorry for my ignorance, lol. I do remember that now. I had a separate hoard of them somewhere, I have to look when I get home!!!

I buy the rock doves from members on here along with the King George VI's. I sort all my Canadian out. Lowell aye! Howdy neighbor!

1. Shipping (if you are not close to the border) will run in the vicinity of 134$ for 66lbs (Quebec to California).
2. Face value per 66lbs will range between 92.48$ and 119,86$.
3. For a worst case scenario total of : $134+$120 = $254.

That shipping kills ya. If someone isn't close to the border it ain't gonna happer. That is unless they are bought from one of us southerners. Heck, if I was close to the border I would be trying to cross and get me some.

Not too many of us are going to hauling over 3 tons of pennies accross the border each trip.

I'm heading up to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan this morning and hopefully clean some banks of pennies till I get to Wisconsin. Brought the Ryedale with me so I can glean the copper and then redeposit the zinc on my trip back on Friday. Hopefully I score on alot of Canadian copper!!!!

I'd like to take a trip to Canada for copper accumulation. Too bad I'll never be able to do that before all those pennies take a trip to the nice warm furnace.

Would there be an interest from Americans close to the border to ''hold'' pennies for those further South, or even to ask Canadians for such a ''service''?

Hm. Maybe. I probably wouldn't pay for it. Maybe some people would.
