For the last 6 weeks or so I've been too lazy to go to the dump bank, or something else came up, or whatever, so today I finally went. I was dumping 8 bags worth (a little less than it sounds like since two awesome bags had like 70% copper). It took like 25 minutes (BY FAR the longest it's ever taken) and I ended up with $237.51 in (mostly) paper. Previous largest dump was about $178.

Just thought I'd share that...

Cool. I dumped about $165 of nickels and pennies today. Luckily my bank never has lines at the machine.

I broke in a new dump bank with a 30,000 coin dump this week.

In my (limited) experience, it seems to work best to shock and awe them with one big dump and then cut back to half that amount in the future.

Makes sense... I'll try to give them my ~$75 a week on time from now on...

Biggest penny dump in one day at one bank is $750.00. That was before they limited it to $300 a day. Largest penny dump at multiple banks in one day was $890. That was at three branches with the $300 a day limit per branch. I had already asked if I could dump at multiple branches. If I exceeded the $300 limit I would be charged 8% service fee on the whole amount.

I used to dump 600.00 a week between 2 banks across the street from each other, till one started a "dump fee" for loose coin.

Did a 1500.00 dump at one branch spread out over a week, that stunt got me banned from that branch, lol. I think the Brinks man gave em heck on pickup day!

My big dumps are when I go through two boxes of halves and they all go right back where they came from.

Early in the game I got banned for dumping $3,000 in pennies in one week at a single branch.

I forgot, they asked for my account number at the end. I didn't know it, so I just told them my name so they could look it up later. Hopefully this doesn't mean I'm banned...

I've done $800 in zinc pennies at one branch. Their coin counter resets at 2^16 (65,536) pennies so I have to be careful to split it in two receipts. Pretty shocking when the amount goes from $655.36 to $0.00.

The funny thing is this was back when there were no rules.. so not only did I lose my only dump bank at the time.. who took them loose in $50 bags that they provided.. but I lost one of my $600 weekly pickup banks. This double cut-off was the start of developing proper dumping stategy.

$206.12 in Pennies yesterday.
