Well I joined this hobby and this board less than two weeks ago and during that time I have hand shorted over (14) 25$ boxes. Today while sorting the 14th box I came across my very first Indian Head. It was a 1900. It took searching over 33,000+ pennies to come across it. Frankly I was very surprised to find one and it served to increase my enthusiasm for this hobby. I have been picking up two $25 boxes a day but the Indian has sparked my enthusiasm so tomorrow I will grab three boxes instead of two!!! Don out of California :P :P

Congrats!!!

After more than two years of enjoying this hobby, I'm closing in on 125,000 searched and I still have yet to find one in my searches. Through the kindness of some on this forum, I do have a few in my possession, but have yet to experience the thrill of finding one in a roll I am searching.

Enjoy your coin searches, everyone. :geek:

I found my first indian in my 2nd or 3rd box.........done over 50 boxes now and haven't found/noticed another one yet.............the first few boxes I hand sorted before I built my automatic penny sorter using a happ controls cube hopper and a coin comparitor out of a old slot machine.
