Hey all,

Thought some might find this interesting. As you know, or don't I had to take a break from sorting for a bit. During this time, my compulsive side kept worrying and stewing over not sorting (surely the supersorter is working overtime this summer, etc.)

I just sorted a box I bought yesterday and compared it to my last one nine months ago, here's the results

2/24/12 Brinks box: 15.4 lbs

66 - 1982's (didn't sort these before recording it)
16 - Wheat
13 - Canadian pre-1996
608 - Copper
29%

12/4/12 Brinks box: 15.2 lbs

80 - 1982's (also pre-sorted)
18 - Wheat
14 - Canadian pre-1996
597 - Copper
28%

There were no 2012's in the first box, I had 50 2012's in the second.

Just thought this was interesting. Will update again if I find something new. I'm picking up a $50 bag later today, and the last one of these I got was 3/27/12. Will compare these.

Copper sorters, I exhort you, now is the time to make hay while the coppery sun shines!

I am ramping up a bit lately. Secured a fairly substantial bag source, so that helps. Dumping is gonna be the constraint obviously. Thinking of just keeping a healthy stack of unsorted cents in case there is a unexpected interruption in supply.

Still prospecting half sources. Hoping to find a good claim somewhere with healthy returns. Skunk city so far, but I know that silver halves are going into the system. Think there is a silver black hole somewhere around here, but no evidence at all of any heavy half sorters that I have seen. Research continues.

I looked back at my stats from late February and I was averaging around 18% back then. Now I'm getting closer to 16%. If you're still able to pick up boxes in the 28% range then it's time to stockpile those boxes before the percentages drop to where many of us are at.
