Released into the wild

Postby bman » Fri Dec 21, 2012 8:03 pm

I was cleaning off my coin sorting table the other evening and looked at my cup of crusty, green and/or polished shiney wheaties that I've found. I decided they were not nice enough to list for sale or mix into rolls so I threw them into my zinc dump bucket. There was probably almost a dollars worth and some were teens & twenties with mint marks. Now that I've dumped the bucket I kinda regret letting them go  it's almost like having your kids move out!

I get weird urges too sometimes. So far I've never acted on them to that extent but it's only a matter of time.

Oh noes, turned them loose for face value??? I could never do that, no matter how ugly the wheat may be.

Ugly Wheats fetch 2x face in most cases

Copper cents in general catch 1.2-1.5x just for their copper!

Yeah, actually I can understand this. At first I thought "at least just throw it i the copper pile" but maybe someone will enjoy finding it... really not a big deal.
