The prodigal penny returns

Postby GGerrands » Fri Dec 28, 2012 11:54 pm

A few months ago I marked a bunch of the zincolns I sent back with a strip from a sharpie on their reverse. Pretty sure I just got one of them back in a customer wrapped roll from my credit union.

But it's ok. He's welcome at my house, because he brought a few of his older, heavier friends along in the roll with him.

I always thought of marking the rolls but never thought the penny itself.

Now you know why your copper percentages are dropping.
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more

In a pretty generic way, a swipe of a sharpie over the memorial from the "t" in states to the "c" in cent. I only did about 200 before I quit, but I put them in random return rolls, not all in 4 rolls of coin.
