Is this a real 1955 double-die?

Pulled from a CL ad. Seller downplays the coin. Hmmmm, was the doubling so prominent on all the letters?

I don't know how to sopt a fake, but the real ones do have major doubling like that. I would try to get his number and call him to feel out if he has any other offers and see how cheap you might be able to grab it. Then before I bought I would google the crap out of what to look for to spot a fake.

1955 Double Die Obverse Lincoln Cent Fake

1955-1DO-001 struck counterfeit

How do I Identify a Counterfeit 1955 Double Die Cent?

The only "clear" photo from CL vs. the comparison between genuine and forgery of same area. Hard to tell. Sorry I can't go CSI on the image more.

My knowledge of errors is limited to one book however, observation of the coin's CL pictures show DD lettering in a NW to SE direction and the date in the opposite angle, NE to SW direction. I think the DD alignment should be the same. Or am I missing something??

From the photos, I can't tell. (Not that I am some expert.) Here is my logic on it, though. For the lettering to be that out of whack on the doubling, Lincoln's face has got to have some doubling marks, in the same proportion, too.
When I die, I want to go like Grandpa did. He died in his sleep..... Not screaming and hollering like all the passengers in his car.

Looks fake. The doubling is too crisp compared to the rest of the coin. Lincoln is pretty worn but the doubling isn't.
