Does any one have the mintage figures for 2012 canadian circulating coinage? I've looked around but can't find past 2011. Maybe they aren't released yet???
I am interested in seeing how the pennies compare to previous years.

Canadian mintage figures for 2012? That's easy! The mintage non-number is a big fat ZERO!

Coins are made out of gold, silver, nickel and copper. Tokens are made out of zinc, paper, steel, aluminum, polymer, pot metal, etc. Canada's last coins were made in 1999 and then briefly again in 2006 due to lack of blanks. In Canada we have tokens now.

Eh. It really depends on face value. A (US) zinc penny is worth like 50% of FV, while a mostly copper quarter is only worth 20%. But really, they've all pretty much been tokens since they took the silver out. It's just that enough inflation makes some of the tokens worth saving...
