Should I keep all the Shiny coppers seperate?

I run two ryedales and come across Shiny coppers fairly often. Even a few shiny wheats, mostly 57 58 but a couple in the 40's. I separate the wheats from coppers but have not been keeping the shiny 59-82's separate. Should I be doing so. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks

They are worth more, so it makes sense if you have the time to separate them.

I have a shiny bucket. When it fills, I empty it into these big square plastic tubs that we get nuts in from BJ's. They stack pretty well. Never tried to sell any, but even if they are somehow not worth more, they would be the last ones that I sell if I were to sell the copper stash. Shiny wheats go in another tub, but those are few and far between.

It's simple to get more for them. Selling 59-82 red copper is easy at 2x. Selling red wheats is easy at 10x to 15x. They are sold here from time to time and are an easy sell.

I will have to agree that separating coppers in theory is a great idea. I tried doing it for a while, then got backed up and then gave up because it was slowly my sorting down.

Haven't had the urge to go back to the pile and begin sorting. If nothing else I would sort for AU or better wheats.

I put the AU BU on in tubes by date and mint mark. That way if someone is starting a new set you can help out with nice ones.

Now that I finally bought a Lincoln album, I'm regretting not keeping them separate.

Have you had success selling them here at those prices Barry?

Went to the bank today to buy pennies. Alongside the regular paper-wrapped coins, they gave been three plastic tubes full of pennies: 100 AU BU 1964 P and 40 AU BU 1963 P. The tubes went straight into my collection. B)
