I just picked up my 16 box order for the week. 14 of them appear to be brand new. Not a single dirty penny could I see through the peek a boo holes. What should I do with these? I was able to read the year on one and it was 2012.

Weigh them. It's likely you did get some skunks. A box of zinc will weigh slightly over 14 pounds.

i have a deal with another branch that i pick up halves from that will take my new boxes of pennies "if they are not a fee bay sale" he will take four boxes a week which is better than me wasting my time to open and dump em. but what ever is easier for you

So far I had spent one of them on gas. Stopped at 24.25 just so there would be no issue if it was a few cents short in the box. Told him to keep the difference if he wanted to open it up and count it. Going out of town this weekend, might be paying for gas with pennies. My one dump cu is very nice and they may take them sealed I the factory box as well. I will find out today oj lunch break. HH all

There was a 1909-S VDB cent in the box you paid for the gas.

3 of them would be my luck:) I highly doubt any of the coins in that box were less than new. What are the odds of all 50 rolls having a brand new ender on the visible end not being complete rolls of new coins? I have sorted $3500 of boxes and not encountered boxes like these. Its all part of the hobby. Take the good with the bad:)

Don't assume anything. I have gotten shiny new boxes of 12's and 13's in a single pickup. You should check the dates. The 12's are a tough move, but the 13's still have some value. Rather than strain your eyes trying to see through those peekaboo holes, just open the boxes. You could always glue them shut again if you think you need sealed boxes for some reason.

Are they D mint or P mint? Maybe another member could use some from the mint that is not near them.

Pretty high, in my experience. They always manage to sneak a few older coins in somehow.

Yes, in the shield boxes that I crack open to dump, I often find a few circulated coins in the rolls. When selling them, I just offer a return if the buyer chooses to open the rolls and does find some of these, but have never had a problem as few collectors care to destroy the rolls.
