2009 series in tubes at the bank

Postby cwgii » Sat Jun 22, 2013 2:25 pm

hey all,

;posing the question of ............ i asked for 10$ pennies the other day. and she hauls out ones in square tubes, with labels claiming them to be 2009 . series.

did the mint really sell them in tubes, or did someone pull the 'stickers ' from elsewhere. and is there any value to them. or should i just cash in the coin and keep the tubes???

secondly, last month i got a batch that has 'new' 1981d in bank wrappers. break them ??

2009 pennies in tubes could be turned in from customer "questionable source". Are they BU? Is there a seal attached? They have value. Throw on e bay. The 1981d sealed same deal e bay.

Go back to that bank and ask for everything they have in square tubes.
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more
