Interesting error penny found

I found a penny that is silver colored (zinc) on the obverse and is not struck, completely blank. The reverse is copper coated and struck, it looks like a normal penny on the reverse. From the design, Lincoln Memorial, it has to be from 1982 to 2008 (zincoln).

I'm not able to find any info on this type of error on the web. I was wondering if anyone has heard of this and could give me some insight as to what it may be worth?

I would take it by Rouge Vally coin and ask Mike the owner what it is.

Does it weigh correctly for a zincoln, 2.5 grams?

Sounds like a post mint damaged coin to me, but without pictures its hard to say. It could be a penny that wasn't stamped on one side or it could have just lost its copper coating.

I have about 15 of both pre and after blanks while sorting. I weigh then put them in 2x2's.
