I wonder if a Coinstar machine would accept one of these pennies. I guess that depends on the composition, which may be a secret to prevent counterfeiting.

I wonder if any of these were found by homeless people or others who have no idea that they are really worth $1,000. They could just think it is some kind of gimmicky play money type thing.
