Did you guys know that the U.S tried to make a glass penny during WWII? I didn't until one auctioned off at the FUN show. Supposedly there is only 1 known to exist! They stopped trying to make them out of glass when they couldn't get any of them to look alike and they also were cutting people!

This is still pretty cool- Outside of the Steel/aluminum/glass cents used as alternative materials to copper/zinc is there is anything we are missing. Any official record of a plastic cent (by the mint of course) or wooden cents being used?
