went to my local friendly credit union today to pick up some CWR. The teller was looking at them and marking out customer names, phone numbers ,etc on them. She picked up a roll and said "this one says wheat on it". I was trying to keep from being too excited, then she said" ain't that what your looking for?"

LOL, get home, I got four solid rolls of wheat pennies!!!! :mrgreen:

It makes me laugh when they take all that time to blot out the account numbers, when, as soon as the sharpie ink dries, you can see right through it anyway.

I got exactly 50 steel pennies, the rest look to be 40s-50s.

Awesome score! Time for the 2 point conversion.. go back to that friendly CU and ask for all the nickels, dimes, quarters, halves and BIG Dollars.. often the relatives take all the coins to the bank together. :mrgreen:

Yea, I thought about that. I got the nickels, but there was nothing in them. But there was three rolls of dimes sitting on the cart that she rolled the pennies and nickels out on, looked pretty old.

I should have got them, but it's too late now.
