1914 D back in Dec.
The 1 million coppers I have kept so I guess I have went through 3 to 4 million. My wife refuses to go in the local bank anymore because one of tellers introduced her to the others as the wife of the crazy penny guy.

Impressive feat- I think my eyeballs would fall out after looking at that many coins. I can imagine getting a 1969 and flipping it over looking for a VDB only to see the Lincoln Memorial. Then I'd know it was time for a break!

I figure, if you have that amount in copper, you probably sorted 5mil plus. When I sorted, I would find about 20% copper.

Posted: Thu Jun 15, 2017 11:23 pmLet's just say that it is about 5 million pennies that you looked through. It is hard for me to think about a number that big. That would be 100,000 pennies a year every year for a whopping 50 years. If you did this five days a week, then it would be 400 pennies each and every day. And without a Ryedale or some kind of machine to separate out the zincs, amazing! If you have a spouse, then that is one very tolerant person!
