Picked up just over $100 FV in pre-1982 coppers today at my LCS. The woman's husband died and he was a penny hoarder.
I paid only 0.05 cent over face value. Lots of wheats too.

LCS owner called me back last night and told me the old lady found more Cu pennies that were stashed away... almost an entire 5 gal water jug full!
I'm going back next week to buy the rest of them. I may need to borrow my friends flatbed truck for this one.

Bought another $100 FV bag of Cu pennies today. Tons of wheats!... many teens, with S mint marks!.. probably 30% in each handful. Just started sorting them. WOW!

So, out of those 20,000 copper pennies, the wheaties came to about 25% of the total... not bad. Some of them are in really nice condition and still have mint luster. Majority of them were 40's and 50's. I pulled some teens, 20's and 30's that were in XF condition. My 1909-1940 Whitman Lincoln holder is now 85% full. I've been working on filling that one for the last 45 years.
