Would that be considered RB?

Very nice, can you imagine what's still out there?

The RB (Red/Brown) designation applies only to MS (Mint State or Uncirculated) coins. This coin is very close, to MS, and might actually get there, altough I think AU is most likely. Unless it does it's automatically "Brown".

Saw the pictures. I hope I look that good when I'm 102 years old.

That's awesome...i haven't been going through my coppers to look for wheats, nor do I re-run my reject zincs. I was just in it for the copper, but finding something like ths is pretty darn cool. Maybe I should change my ways!

If only the penny could talk. 102 years is a long time to get in circulation. I found a 1909 non-vbd a couple of years ago, and that penny one could tell has been circulated during that period.

Well this penny was clearly in a collection until recently. There is no other explanation for a coin so close to MS of that age and rarity.

Someone's grand father died and this just shows that your "death documents" should explain how to properly dispose of your estate :)

Awesome find! Congrats!!!

I agree with others, IF ONLY the coins could talk and tell us their history.

Enjoy your coin searches, everyone. :geek:
