I was just thinking about this exact subject this weekend. My parents gave me a three gallon bottle and I was wondering how much face value this bottle will hold. Haven't done any kind of search yet. Maybe we'll get an answer here

I get between $250-$280 per 5 gallon bucket.

This equals to $50 - $56 per gallon.

It depends on how much you want to shake the container.

Glass - Not recommended. This is one thing I would not want to clean up if dropped.

Unless you never plan to move it, for the sake of your back and your future health, you may want to consider filling smaller containers for storage.

Or stack them 3 high, 9 per level, on a (strong) pallet and have 2 tons of copper! Then you can use a forklift!

I think I can offer a definitive answer to this question..

I just weighed my 5 gallon PLASTIC water jug last night...

It weighs almost $200 lbs.... so at 146 * 200 = 29,200 pennies :D
