Just skimming the Maine CL. Thought somebody might get a kick out of this.

Looks like this person is about 75 miles north of Portland, ME. Man I wish I was in the area and had just a bit more cash on hand. This would be QUITE tempting!

He stated fv is $2300ish...asking $4995. Hell ya I would like to sell mine too.

I saw that. What made the ad crazy too was that the seller was boasting about having precious metals. Maybe a trustworthy individual backed by smith and wesson, but still, don't talk about it on CL !

7 years to get less than a ton? He is definitely not Realcent material.

The problem here is that he weighed them rather than observed them. Zincolns with grime will often weigh more. Also, he's in Maine. There's going to be more than "a few Canadian cents" in the mix (though that's probably one of those 'good' problems). And I don't see any wheat backs in the mix. Where'd they go?

Forget his asking price. If anyone rolled in there with $2500 cash I'm sure he'd dump them.

If I could guarantee a buyer I’d be interested. Even though I’m supposed to be downsizing the collection and have no time to sort count and pack coins…
