What is everyone’s strategy in 2026 when the Lincoln cent ends production? I am thinking about
1. Getting a couple of 2026 boxes,
2. Cashing all other zincolns before they no longer are taken by stores.
3. Holding all copper cents until scrapping is an option
4. There will still be demand for the Lincoln cents by collectors, so I would keep any descent lower mintage coins.

First of all, good thread here, thanks Tourney for getting this started.

1. I will try to get at least a few rolls of 2026, maybe even a box

2. I will buy lots of circulated rolls, draining copper and wheats.

As far as collector demand: wheats and Indian heads will stay high on the list. Surprisingly, there is a decent amount of young people that are into coins. I've seen this at flea markets.

It will be interesting to see how long banks carry pennies AFFER the end of production. Since the window could be short, BUY ROLLS NOW WHILE YOU CAN. No way am I the only person hoarding Loomis rolls.

Also, pennies are the best coin to hoard because they require the least amount of capital.
