Your rarest find.

Postby John_doe » Sun Apr 10, 2011 11:47 pm

Just wondering what people have found. Anything extremely rare goes.

My list:
1909 wheat (no mm)
1911 s
1911 d
1907 Indian head
German reichspfinneg (from ww2 era)
blank planchet (found 2)
error coin (error not listed in cherry pickets guide, no clue what it is or what it's worth)

Ps... Check the new "avatar". ------>

I've found 6 or 7 1999 wide AM cents that have each sold for $100 or more.

My father found a 1914-D

After he jumped around and hollered for 10 min I came clean: I seeded it in that roll to watch his reaction.   One of my best pranks to date.

I let him keep it and th PCGS slab it was cracked from BTW so he was still quite pleased.

This topic sure gets brought up a lot!

A member on here found a 1909 S VDB last year.

I personally have found 2 1914 D $2.5 gold pieces, a 1857 O seated livery dime, as well as a bunch of other things.
