Went to the local bank and picked up $20 worth of CWR pennies. The teller grabbed 4 pack of $10 each. I told her I only wanted $20. I had gotten some from them earlier and the rolls had a good amount of copper but that was it. So I asked for some of the other rolls, the ones that had different wrappers than the ones I got before. So I grabbed me 40 rolls and went home. I started with the different wrappers and could not believe my luck. I found 100%, yes 100% wheats in all 10 rolls, a total of 500 wheats. Most from 1950's and 1940's. About 12 from 1930's and what appears to be 2 1911, 1 1908, and 1 1918. also 1 1944-s. Not bad for my 2nd trip to the bank, and YES i will be going back on Monday to the same teller and getting all the CWR's she has.

I'll give you $200 for the wheats if you're looking to sell, you must of course include ALL the ones listed.

I said it APPEARS!!! to be an 1908, if there is no 08 then obviously it is not. The 4 early 1900's are very warn and hard to see exactly what they are. I can take a few pics and post and maybe Dakota1955 you can tell me what they are.

Nice score! I dream about that...literally.

The other day I was so excited because I got 19 rolls of all 59-82 pennies, with one wheat. :D :D :D :D :D

Your find is even better!

Congrats on the great score. Hope those other rolls are still there when you go back Monday. This is why us seasoned collectors always take it all.. would hate to leave the one roll with the 1909-S VDB there.

Another suggestion.. Ask for every CWR they have at the bank. There is a chance that some solid rolls of silver got turned in at the same time as all those penny rolls.. wouldn't that be a great story to tell?

Also what is the mint mark of the 1911 both the D and are worth a bit. :D :D :D And a 1931-S in the wild would be nice too. As to the 1908 you never know there is a 1959 Wheat for sale see-- http://www.coinlink.com/News/us-coins/controversial-1959-d/
