i was 10 years old in 1980 and was pretty heavy into collecting pennies and nickels. i can remember a little hobby shop about 4 blocks away that had a nice selection of coins and supplies. i also remember all the pharmacy's and drug stores carrying dansco albums, coin rolls, magnafying glasses, and other coin stuff. it seems like coin collecting was more popular back then. now i go to the drug stores and they dont have anything coin related.

the funny thing is i was collecting right through the hunt bro. episode without even knowing it.

i can remember coin supplies at a hobby shop but no where else.

i can remember buying a 1964 proof set at a coin show at the mall during the Hunt Bros and having him buy it back from me the next month for twice what i paid for it.
