Is this a good average

Just plugged through 4 bags (200FV) that I picked up at the bank from the coin machine.
About 1/5 was copper
9 dimes
14 canada
56 wheats (1 steel) (1 - 191x worn) ( a 36) (the rest 40-50's)

I haven't been through the zincs yet but I'm happy with it. I had no idea there would be that many wheats.

from what I've gotten personally so far, I'd say that's good. I've been averaging about 16% copper. the canadian dimes was exact same average, and you're a tad higher on the wheat than me. I dont' use bags though yet, and I haven't gotten any dimes.

See what others are finding here:

Generally, those who report are showing 16%-30% on average. In Virginia, I'm getting 24% or so. The Texas-Arizona area seems to get the lowest percentage, while others in NE states report the highest percentage.

When calculated against what I typically get. Seems to be a pretty good batch, I would take it! ;)

56 wheats is 14 per bag. I think that should be a bit below average. That would be 7 per $25 box. 20% copper is what it is. I get close to a 30% average. But that's just the area you're in. As for canadians, are these 14 copper or total canadians? I usually get 10-14 copper canadians a box. And sometimes twice that out of a bag. Now dimes, it depends on the bank's machine and how often they calibrate it. I used to find 2 to 5 dimes a bag. Now I'm lucky to get one.

Keep up the good work with the bags, one day you're gonna hit somebody's dump and blow our minds with some wild numbers of finds.

I'll take bags any day over boxes.

Keep posting your finds!

I'm lucky to get one bag a week. So, my two best bags had these goodies! :D

One bag had 4 indian heads....all pre-1900...all full LIBERTY!

One bag had over 100 wheats with a bunch of those being pre-1940!

The more bags you go through, the better your chances of finding something!

Here in Georgia I am lucky to average 14% copper. I have had as low as 10% per box.

16% copper rate here near Los Angeles. I average five wheats and 3 copper Canadians per $25 string box.
