$1,500 for me, at an HSBC branch where I have a business account. I ran it through as a "make change" transaction

$278 something the other day in pennies, next time $800 worth of zinc rejects. Also maybe $500 in halves. If I do more, it will be a armored car pickup, hopefully.

Ahhhh...now this thread ought to be a fun one. In a single dump....almost $1700 in dimes for me. And in only two plastic bank bags (a bit heavy). Top that!

Actually, you may have to refine the question to the type of dumping and then award points accordingly. For example:
1. Rolled coin (because your dump bank won't take coin in bags). Way too time-consuming. The most points.
2. Plastic bank bags..ie coinlok. You still have to use your coin counter at home, then drag it to the bank, then wait for the deposit to hit.
3. Coin counters provided at the bank. Piece of cake; no effort and you get instant money! (least points awarded)

My largest single dump was $5187 and some change....it was a mixture of halves and cents. I had only planned on dumping a grand but the vault teller, Valerie, ask if that is all I had....oops mistake on her part so I went and got another bucket with a grand in it....then she asked again...this time she said to bring it all in and she would be happy to change bags...I had the intention of spreading the wealth around(5 branches) but she said to bring it on, I did. Today I only have eleven bags of cents to drop off. I should have about 15 bags but my Apprentice quit working last night.

$200.... it doesnt feel like a lot after reading these posts

I think you have to differentiate between denominations. A few grand is nothing if half dollars, but significant if all in pennies. Maybe the score could be based on number or coins or rolls rather than face value.

In just pennies I once dumped 2300 rolls at once.. but that is only $1150 face.

I was waiting for HCBTT's response...I knew the number was going to be big! You brought those back rolled though right, not loose? Having a coin machine roller must may things easier at the bank. I never do more than $100 loose at any one dump bank using their coin counter. I just visit a lot of banks!

$3500 in halves and a $100 in pennies in a single same dump. I've cut way back now, and I try not to overwhelm the lady tellers.

My standard dump now is $150 Zincolns "OR" $1000 dimes each week, never both at the same dump branch.

for me, i bring about $100 or so in pennies at a time - i hit a few branches of the same bank that all have lobby coin machines (i usually stop at between 3 to 5 branches on one road trip loop of deposits). obviously, the $$ amount goes way up for dimes, quarters, halves (though i havent had time for much searching recently). save them nickels though.

a few months ago - i got a talking-to at one branch - they were not happy with me filling up 18 bags in one week!!

but - still nothing like dropping off 2,300 rolls!!!! amazing Hoard !

About 5 lbs, and it smelled bad.... Oh are you talking coins? $1376. 2 boxes of halves dimes nickels and pennies.

I got the dont dump here again speech once. 5k in one week, mixed halves and pennies.

Before the $300/day limit, $750+ in pennies was common. Also $2000-$3000 in halves was average.

Now I have to spread the dumps around. Almost went over the limit monday. I dumped $298.80 in pennies. Go over $300 and pay 8% fee on the WHOLE amount.

$875.40 in loose pennies, about 2 weeks ago. Gave the teller a nice little box of Ferrero chocolates on that one.

$36 in zincs You guys rule! I don't have a car though so these were carried in a backpack, bonus points?

Are you guys finding it better to use the Fort Knox plastic bags, wrapped rolls or other method to dump your zincs? Have you found banks have a preference? Do banks trust your counting of $50 or $100 in loose change in bags?

I've carried over $100 in zinc in a backpack before. My dump bank is only two blocks away, but it was still 60 lbs on my back.

$2500 give or take in pennies. I average around $1000.

I was suprised that I did'nt get a lecture from the tellers, but they lined up a bunch of empty bags at the machine knowing it was going to be a while.

I usually go several times a week. The most I have dumped in one sitting was probably 500-700 face. I typically only dump zincs, but once and a while I will sort some nickles.
