The Copper King (new sorting machine)

Postby We Are Jakes » Wed Jun 22, 2011 2:02 pm

Hey Guys. I've been lucking on the site for sometime now and finally decided to join. My friend and I have been selling comparators on ebay, and had some good luck so we decided to see what kind of sorting machine we could make. We've made a couple and been getting some good results from them, as well as favorable reviews from fellow numismatics so we're going into production and selling them. check it out and let us know what you think. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150622002896&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT#ht_1722wt_1139

You need to clean up the potty mouth verbiage in your 3rd video.

Ummm....are those videos supposed to represent the pinnacle of this thing in action? In video one, it jams, and we see a beer bottle featured in the shot. In video two, a penny flies off the slide. In video three, we see a rock and hear some swearing.

I'll stick with the Ryedale thanks.

This product looks like it needed some fine tuning before product launch. I think the videos are very informative. I am glad that they posted them unedited. Buyers now know what to expect. This way is much better than if they had posted a video of the thing running flawlessly. Then you would have reason to be upset about the performance if you bought one. This makes me glad that I bought a Ryedale instead of trying to concoct my own sorter.

Call it the 'Nutcracker'. Looks like the one from the Christmas ballet story.

I don't think I could deal with It jamming every 10$. I would be frustrated! My ryedale James maybe once every 300$. But I Guess this is a cheaper unit so maybe some people could deal with it

I would name a Ryedale the same name that I am going to give to my dog when I get one! Copper!

I like the third video... "a rock? what the f is that s?" Also, did you say that it might have been a pistachio?

Great vids, very professional. Good luck with the Copper King.

Wow it seems like you guys really hate us. I can't believe some of you are really bothered by the beer , and the language. I thought this was a forum for men, and all men know beer, tools, and copper go well together. In all seriousness( and we don't take ourselves too seriously) we know the copper king sucks, but were working on it. Made some more improvements yesterday, and we've solved most our jamming problems. Did one entire box of pennies with only 1 jam. I think that pretty darn good for two kids in a basement. It sure beats doing drugs.

You all are giving them are pretty hard time! It takes quite a bit to take a leap of faith into the unkown (we sort pennies for goodness sakes). Maybesome advice or words of encouragement? I own a ryedale and stand by it, but it's a free market.

My only comment is that people need to take feedback to heart more often, instead of kicking against it. There has been some sarcasm behind some of the comments above, but pull the sarcasm aside and the commentors are trying to tell them significant and meaningful things.

Ooops - edit. I did have a second comment. You're either men or kids, but you can't be both. If you're old enough to be legally drinking beer then you can't hide behind the "I'm only a kid" thing. Man up.

I didn't watch the videos but to the OP:

- Professional selling NEVER includes any profanity. If you want to make MONEY be as professional as possible. Read "How to Win Friends and Influence People" and "Secrets of Closing the Sale" and apply both and you will make MORE MONEY. Guaranteed.

- Secondly, no one here hates you. They want good products, period. Give bad products (as it appears yours currently is) and get negative feedback. Give good products and get positive feedback.
