Today I picked up $50 face of pennies at a local Chase branch
Some of the rolls looked older
One roll is an armor car wrapped roll; it says Wells Fargo Armored Service a Baker Industries Company; it is white with red letters
Unfortunately both ends are just showing the reverse of a penny so I cannot see any dates.
I am guessing they are copper but am not 100% sure
Would you crack it open or leave it in the original package unopened?

Crack that bad boy open and never look back.

I looked on ebay and the roll looks exactly like the 1981 roll that is for sale on there.
They have it listedfor buy it now $6.98
I know that doesn't necessarily mean it will sell for that much.

Wells fargo armored was bought out by loomis back in 1997. I am sure there are still some of their rolls out there.

Sorry that I can't provide the link but if you go to ebay and look up Wells Fargo Penny Roll; there are about 7 that come up.
It looks like the 1981 roll that is for sale.
If anyone is interested in it, Ill list it in the Trade section
