that's 18.78%... right about what I'm getting up in Fresno (when they aren't all 2011). Thanks for keeping the stats! :)

i do not have high power data bases like country, but. i do like to 'know where i have been'.

i guess i need to point out, that the 82's are a total, not copper total. as i dont wish to buy an ace, or a better scale. or even to take the time with the 'balance stick' type sorter.

so , in the stats for the hand sorter thread, i do not get credit for any of them.

Can't you just flick them, or drop them on the table? That's how I sort and it's real quick (and cheaper than a scale!)

I flick my 82's too. Just give 'em a good flick in the air. Copper "sings," Zinc kinda"thuds." Try it a couple of times each with a known copper and a known zinc, the difference is pretty significant and obvious. Works for really ugly abes too that you can't read the date on. My mom sorts and she says she is too uncoordinated to flick and then catch them so she just gives them all to me. I love it

I find it easier to just balance one flat on my index finger and lightly tap the rim with another cent a couple times to hear the ring or not. Typically, only about 1 in 4 of the 82's I find is zinc so it's definitely worth it to check them.
