I'm tempted to reply and tell him to check the weight of them vs. spot and to reconsider raising his prices to standard so we can all get on board.

Sadly, he's in just two towns down the road from me (I pass it back and forth every day to work and back). If anyone wants these gems, let me know. ;)

NoCents, if you're in the Orlando area we may need to coordinate dump and supply banks so we're not all over each other...

We're close, but you're safe. I'm on the coast and only do auctions in Orl.
I'm only into halves now, so your coppers are good. :)

Up here we have the same couple of guys selling fairly worthless coins at huge premiums on CL. I doubt anyone is buying any of this. At least I hope not. It gets fairly annoying when I search for "coins" and all that comes up is the same old useless ads from the same old hosers.

But every now and then a sweet deal pops up and makes it all worth while!

I'm kidda of a smart butt and I emailed, told him that the coins wasn't silver... :D

He emailed me back...LOL

They are nicknamed "Silver pennies" moron. Anybody could look that up. Also if they were made of silver they would be selling for MUCH more that $0.25 considering their collectible status. Think about this logically: Why would the U.S. Government which was suffering from economic strife, not too unlike our present situation, use a much more valuable precious metal for a penny than copper?

Furthermore, I have seen these things selling for $0.50 a piece around Florida so maybe I should raise my price? I am offering 4 pieces of United States History for cheap. I am sorry you undervalue our country's participation in WWII, and were too stupid to do your research and consider a logical explanation for my sale before accusing me of being a thief.

Go f yourself. Np pennies for you!

Sincerely,

J.

he is a Sienfield fan I can see....LOL. I guess that's what I get for being a smarty, no pennies for me.. :P
