About an hour ago, I was playing around with Twitter search and entered the hashtag "#PennyUnderground" into the box.

No tweets were pulled up. That hashtag category is unclaimed territory.

Then, something clicked. Isn't the the perfect hashtag for us? What are we, if not a Penny Underground?

With this in mind, I heartily suggest thet you use the hashtag #PennyUnderground if you're tweeting about your penny exploits. It goes well with the upcoming ABC Nightline special featuring highroller4321 and two other members here, and I think it'd be a blast.

And there is that faint-hope outside chance it might trend for a minute or two.

Just kidding, I'm still a little aprehensive. I see the good and bad.

I can understand why Twitter may seem off-puting, but there's room for a whole bunch of subcultures there. People with few folllowers and followees have a chance to actually take an interest in each other's doings.

No worries. My prediction is that by the time the lame stream media finishes their segment we will All be looked at and refered to as crazy penny guys THE ANSWER TO 1984 IS 1776...
