Milkman style penny drop off.

In the winter I work four tens Tuesday-Friday. On Mondays Franklin and I pick up $200-$500 for him to sort. If I left them all at the house he would go through them in one day. So I keep them I my truck and give them out over the week. I drop them outside his door when he is still sleeping and I thought about the milkman. Franklin has autism and we homeschool so my when my wife is working with are other child Franklin sorts. And when he is done with his school work he sorts.

That is awesome.

I wish I had a penny milkman to leave me goodies to sort at my doorstep.

Growing up, I always had a list of chores to do that day at my door when I woke up. I would have rather had coins to sort!!! ;)

I have to wonder how he would react if it was really milk bottles (or cartons or jugs) full of pennies?

Franklin sounds really quick. Have you ever timed him?

Franklin has a hard time reading. Just the other day Franklin said I found a 1903 cent. I asked so you found an Indian Head no he said so I looked and it was 1930. Franklin did not talk until he was four. So he mostly flips the coins and will pull out s mints, IH , odd stuff, Canadians. And then I run it through the Ryedale and then re flip and pull what he missed. When it going through the Ryedale we tube all of his finds Franklin tubes the odds I tube the date ones. It would be nice if he would slow down. One day I came home and found the vapor barrier pulled out from under the house he thought it was trash. So coins keeps him safe and busy.

If you ever expand your "delivery route" keep me in mind.

Do you also pickup the reject zincs?

Awesome, Joe. I'm an only child and we have no kids, so I envy you and the great family quality-time you have. Please keep it going (it's good for our country)!
