MORE: Fed Reserve rolled pennies/coppers removed?

Postby Cent1225 » Wed Nov 23, 2011 8:41 pm

How many of these machines does Brinks have?

If more than one, does anyone know where they are located?

Sounds like one is in the North Carolina area. Others?

Thanks,

I am sure there is one in CA based on what happened a couple of year ago. I suspect there is also one in Utah.

Brink's coin processing services include coin counting, coin sorting, coin verification, coin wrapping, and change order processing. With each service, you'll get:

Nationwide coverage: Brink's offers the extensive geographic distribution network you can count on for coverage where you do business. :geek:

It only takes 1 in your neighborhood to really mess up your day.

The super sorter counts the coins too, I think that it is their main machine for everything, they just usually put the Cu back in with the Zn.

The FEd does NOT roll coin!!!!

Brinks is not the FED!

I would guess Brinks has close to 100 super sorters.

I haven't seen it show up in the Brink's boxes I get from the Brink's Richmond, VA facility. Still getting around 24% COPPER in my neck of Virginia from Brink's.

A Brinks employee might be doing so on the side. Sneaking in a Ryedale and making a little diversionary pass every now and then, and replacing the haul with either zincs or the regular mix that were brought in for the purpose of replacing the coppers. 8-)
I did it. I've been crazy enough to sort through 10,000 rolls of pennies. Almost makes you think, "some people will do anything to build up a coin collection."
