I tried to scrounge together a pound to set back... I think I made it to about 11 ounces. And I am one of THE world coin guys. SMH. Of course I could have added in those rolls of Canadians but those were a "collection" not a hoard... so theygot sold.

If you are trying to find out how many ounces/pounds you have of the 1 Franc coin, you need to divide by 28 grams (since nickel is measured in lbs, not troy pounds)... right?

Right! For base metals, a pound is 16 ounces at 28 grams per ounce. For precious metals, a troy pound is 12 ounces at 31.1 grams per troy ounce.

Sweeeeeet!
When I die, I want to go like Grandpa did. He died in his sleep..... Not screaming and hollering like all the passengers in his car.

I like to rummage in the foreign coin bin at my LCS when I stop in. I do find some, even if it's just a few!
