A coin shop in St louis is paying a $1.25 a piece for war nickels is that a fair price?

Not close. You can get $1.70 in a heart beat on here and the buyer will pay shipping as well.

Higher than $1.70 with a little patience.

And to think there were times when just about no one wanted warnix............... When silver was at $7/oz, they melted at less than $0.40 each. Still have some of the $15 rolls I bought, but swapped many for other things I needed at the time. I can also remember the $100 face bags of 40% clad halves I was buying for $135. Had about 10 and then it became a storage issue for the rest of the family (not me). Out the door they went at a modest profit. Please excuse me while I wipe the teardrops from my keyboard. Wish I had 'em all back................ Oh well. Maybe today's acquisitions will look cheap by comparison in the future. I'll focus on that.
