I actually do both. I found a 1930 buffalo in the first roll I opened on this box. So it's looking good so far, hope that ratio keeps up as I move through the box :D

This thread gave me the idea of getting my dad a box of nickels for Father's Day (he's been putting together some Whitman nickel folders), so I wanted to thank you for sharing your gift and the inspiration.

He called me yesterday to let me know that he sorted the whole box in a single sitting, and thanked me for such a great present (found two war nicks).

My mom on the other hand chastised me because he ended up sorting when he should have been sleeping.
