I collect the dateless buffs....still not quite sure why, but a habit is a habit. With the purchase from copper catcher this week I have over 6,000 of them. I do not restore any dates but may consider it. I keep them just as one more way to diversify my holdings. If anybody is looking to sell some I would be interested.

To anyone thinking about selling to Mr. toomuchcopper, I traded him some buffaloes and he is an A+ guy.

thanks for the nice comment roadrunner...
After reading the earlier posts I went and bought some of the Nic-a date stuff. Its made in Montrose Colorado. I tried it on 3 nickels last night and they turned out to be a 1935, 1926,1915....I am going to see if I can use the stuff to pull the mintmark out too. Not sure if it actually makes the coin more valuable but i dont think it should hurt the value of it seeing how you are starting with a dateless coin....hoping to try it with my kids this afternoon

My unstanding is that Nic-A-Date effects are only temporary. The date will be lost and you'll be back to having a dateless buffalo.
