It seems to depend on where your area is. I find a couple every $100 box or so, and some have a very hard time finding any. It seems like you might be in a good area for them. Stack em up!!

I have 55 2009 nickels right now. I am guessing they are more concentrated in certain parts of the country.

From everything that I've heard about these nickels they are scarce. Take a look at the mintages.

I heard today at a coin show that the reason why many people are having difficulty finding the 2009 Nickels is because.....the majority of them were sent to Puerto Rico?? Why would they do that? Seems like an odd place to ship them...

Working on a Jefferson Whitman folder. Asked a buddy if he had any nickels. He had a few that I needed and then pulled a 2009-P. First one I've seen though I've only been looking casually for a month or so. Now to find the 09-D.

~300

I find them pretty often. I even stopped saving them for a while because they seemed too common.

Things appear to be drying up a bit. Out of the last 3 boxes, and ~$60 in CWR, I only found 9 total.

Found 2 in a $100 bag of nickels recently, both P's I think.

If they are out there, their condition is getting worse day by day. Found a 2009 dime recently that was corroded - I threw it in the dump pile - not worth keeping!

I ended up buying 2 2009 p nickels at a coin show. Still looking for a 2009D + a 2009S.

If you can't find them, you have to purchase them when available.
