I am beginning to think that everything is better in HD. I had a pretty nice couple boxes of Nickels the other day and I'm happy that I filmed the sort.

Nickel Roll Hunting (episode 1) w/ video & pictures <-- Here is a link to the video / pictures

*remember it's HD so toggle that setting on the youtube video*

I hope you enjoy it.

I like the picture of your cat guarding the boxes at the end of the video.

Thanks RD5 I enjoy it so I'll probably keep going for a while.

I don't know what it is about the coin boxes, but as soon as I get them into the house my cats are all over them. They usually just sleep and sit on them.

They are not guard animals protecting my coins unfortunately...

I find that Dobermans or German Shep's are a better choice for the coin hoarder

Nice video. Gotta confess that I skipped over the middle though.

Hi RD5 - I am an avid fan of photography, I haven't spent a lot of time making movies. My YouTube Account has all of my videos that I've made in the last 5 years. Figured perhaps my cats could get me a couple million views *sigh* I was wrong. And since Youtube doesn't allow you to have multiple channels for one account. Otherwise I would make an effort to organize my videos to particular genres. If the settings change I may step up and do something.

That's why my videos are limited to mostly coins, sports and animals...

I'm trying to think of ways to show the entire sort without losing viewers. I might start inserting text or music, not sure but whatever keeps viewers will be my new tactic. Skip through the video all you want, I'm happy you watched it.

Nice to see I'm not the only one. Did 4 boxes today although I got another 2012 box (blah).. just another $100 in the stack that will sit. At least I got 3 more war nickels and about $4 of pre-60's.

By another 2012 box do you mean a full $100 box of 2012 nickels? Which mint were they?

I haven't found solid boxes of nickels yet. I've also been a bit lazy and haven't sorted nickels in a couple weeks. Vol. 2 is still in the box. :)
