Canadian Nickel Disaster at Yesterday's flea market

A friend/trading partner of mine caught me at the flea market yesterday. He showed me a complete set of Canadian nickels in a Whitman book. He just bought the set for 25 bucks and was looking forward to reselling them.
That's what he does for a living. I learn a lot by hanging around this guy because he has a lot of knowledge on what can resell for profit on e-bay.

Anyway, this was a really nice set of coins many were in AU or better. I say 'were' because when he drove off he left the set on the hood of his truck. He backed out of his spot, of course looking behind him. Thats when the Whitman book hit the gravel parking lot and the first 15 nickels in the first flap of the folder bounced out on the ground, including the 1925 (mintage 200K).

Well the value of your undamaged 1925 Canadian nickel just went up. Because my friend pulled forward and ran over his nickels.

My wife jumped out and prevented another car, full of non-English speaking Mexicans, from finishing off the rest of my friend's coins, along with the Whitman book.

He was lucky Mrs T was able to stop the second car. They were just staring at the crazy white lady flailing about, yelling a bunch of white-woman gibberish.

All the George VIs and Lizs were saved, But the first 15 old ones now have road rash. I called him on his cell as he left the parking lot.

It was no fun breaking the bad news to him

Was there a 1926 far 6 in there?
That's worth even more than the 25

That coin had very little wear until the road rash. Too bad. Stuff happens. Sounds like an honest guy for showing the coin "as is".
