Used to find one every other box or so. More recently a lot rarer. Don't think I've found one in the last $1200 gone through

Typical is one every box or bag, although some have been skunks and a few have been bonanzas. 91 roll of buffs this year.

A year ago I found about 1 per box. Now it is about 1 for every 3 boxes. What a drag :)

I average about 1 every $300 as well. BTW, Galenrog, may I ask what you do for a living? 91 rolls of buffs?! how many nickels do you go through each week and where on earth do you find the time?!

Well now, I guess it is time to let out the secret of my finding over 90 rolls of Buffs this year, now that creshka46 has called me out. I normally pull about one per bag or box. Earlier this year I picked up several bags of nicks from a local branch that had a bonanza of Buffs. A few months later I picked up from a single bank branch several boxes that were packaged by Loomis Fargo that had over 100 in each box. Still have about 80 rolls left. Last month, while I did not find any buffs in one particular bag, I did find over 500 '38 -'59 Jeffs, including over 30 War Nicks. Yes, good things still happen.

about 1 out of every 300fv... I was around a few weeks back when my daughters boy-friend pulled out the best 35 buffalo I have ever seen in my life. It was like it just rolled off the mint.

I search (on average) $80 in nickels a week. Other than a full CWR roll of buffalos that I found last year, I have only found 2 other buffalo nickels. So, I guess that's maybe 1 for every $10K searched.
