Amazing. So now they have 2007-2011, or presidents 1 through 20, in circulation coins. Then for 2012 they STOPPED making them for circulation, and ONLY made them for mint and proof sets. Then, for however long it takes before they RESUME minting them for circulation... Then they will finish the series out. Maybe.

Way to make a decision, gov'MINT.

I've often wondered if it's not a bad idea to buy a few rolls of these NIFC dollars in case this happens. If some day the dollar bill does go away and dollar coins are as common as quarters, wouldn't you think that these years would be the ones that everyone wants but no one can find. They would be the key dates, no?

Key, in a sense. If more people were collecting the series, and were willing to pay more than face value to finish the set. I've considered the same purchase.
