Free US money from the bank

This morning, I hit one of the banks in my area for some nickels - nothing extravagant, just
$24 worth (sold some aluminum cans and scrap wire). I get to this bank every two-three weeks,
as it's not on my normal path.
Mentioned to the teller that the assistant manager had approved them saved the coin counter
junk bin for me. Would she check it? Off she went, came back with a small handful of change - not
a foreign coin in the lot.
Went I saw it was US stuff, I was hoping for some Wheats or possibly silver, but nada....zero....zip -
NOTHING.
What I got was a quarter, a dime, two nickels and 7 pennies. $0.52 - all of nasty - discolored or sticky,
almost like the had been soaked in pancake syrup.
Right before I left, I gave Taylor (the teller), a couple boxes of donuts - for her and the other tellers,
and any management they choose allow in. That got me the most beautiful smile.
Be interesting to see what happens the next time I get in there.
