Hello, I have been sorting pennies for awhile, and was interested in trying nickels. What should I be looking for? General guidelines. According to coinflation, they all seem the same 75/25 mix. I know about war nickels, but was just curious as to what else to look for. Thanks.

That's the beauty of Nickels, they are all good.

The silver nickels have large obvious mint marks on the rear, can't miss it. was put there because the mint planned to pull them from circulation after the war.

If you run across a 1944 Nickel without a mint mark, it is not real, but certainly worth more than a Nickel.
