I read the whole article. Interesting, but i don't think the article said how he is storing them. For example, storage unit? Warehouse? He will need a forklift or a bunch of people to help move them.

Didn't Kyle Bass buy a trailer load of nickels some years ago?

2 Kyles with a lot of nickels. I wonder why the article states melt value at $0.043 – $0.047 when current melt value is $0.058? Is this just a repost of an older article? Date at bottom was 10-19-25.

5 million nickels has to be like 4 standard pallets of the boxes stacked up (2000 per box is 2500 boxes)

I would think that many nickels might be enough to potentially crack a concrete foundation- just pure speculation.

Kyle Bass’s order in 2011 had to be filled by the Federal Reserve. When asked why he got so many, he simply said “I just like nickels.”

He said he’s storing them in a detached garage on a 150-acre farm.

It took a team of people over 4 months to accumulate the nickels. He paid them $7.50 an hour.

He also has 20,000# of copper (U.S.) cents.

I hope he’s not in an area prone to earthquakes or tornadoes or hurricanes.

Thanks for the response; I must have missed that. Meanwhile, 20,000 pounds of copper is TEN tons. Sounds like a "Hoard copper by the ton" type of guy. Wondering how much above face he paid for them.
