Sorting nickels

Postby lakehouse » Sun Apr 03, 2011 12:04 pm

Hi, long time lurker finally posting. Curiousity was getting to me after stockpiing these and I started hand sorting through some of them. Wondered if anyone has any insights or tips on speeding up sorting these? Are most folks doing the piles: war/v/buffalo, canadian/misc, rest pre 60, 60+, and 2009s ?

Welcome!
With the exception of the 60+ and 2009s, that's the way I keep it.

Personally I seperate the old nickels from the new obverse & the ones with the temporary reverses. Not sure why, but it's what I've always done.
