Best box of dimes yet

Stopped by and got a box of dimes from Dunbar. Hate unwrapping those but this time, in return for my efforts, I got 5 rosies. Three was my best out of a $250 box but this is no longer :D :D
Hope tomorrows Brinks does the same !!

Rosies = silver roosevelt dimes. Also known as roosies. Mercs is another jargon term here... it of course means Mercury dimes.

madman: Only have to handle $250 one time. Even if you find 10 dimes in each box, you only have to add $1.00 back to get your $250 back and get another box.

Not really that bad doing dimes. You just have to come up with $250 once. I usually buy twice a week from different banks. Purchase the first box and sort that night. Take to my bank with a free coin counter for customers and dump. Next day or so I get another box with the funds from the first box. Sort that one and repeat.

For alittle heads up though. I normally find one or two per $250 box BUT i have gone on a streak of $1750 without a single one. Really started to think about stopping but I decided I liked the thrill of looking and just stuck it out.

So to condense some, $250 to start...find hopefully one or two....dump and get back $249.80-90...go to bank and buy another and keep going. Got to love getting around $2 and change of silver for 10 cents.

Sorry.... rosies are Roosevelt dimes 1946-1964

lucky we can edge check US coins. The ones that look like a sandwich are "clad" and worth face. Silver coins are easy to spot
when edge checking.

This is why I love CWR dimes. I can burn thru a few hundred dollars worth in under an hour and their easy to re-roll.
