First Pickup!

Postby JTM3 » Tue Mar 27, 2012 8:46 pm

...Well, sort of. I haven't picked up anything other than pennies in probably a year, but on a whim, I picked up a hundred dollars in halves from the bank. Here are the results:
A whole lot of nothing
2 40% Halves ('66 and '68 D)
3 90% Kennedys
1 Walking Liberty ('44)
If that isn't an incentive to pick more up I don't know what is. :D Now, I'm going back to get the other $50 she said she had, but couldn't give me. :x

From one Virginian to another, nice finds. I admit to all my realcent friends - I have never asked for and/or searched halves. Maybe I will finally break down and try it. Hope you're not in southwestern Virginia...

Very nice pick up of nothing. ;)

(haha) Loudoun County, but Richmond soon. Wonder how that'll be for searches...

Not bad for a "nothing" type of find!

Not bad indeed....so perhaps if i wait a year or so to touch halves, I could have the same success?

I'd go for it. Right now, I'm contemplating staring to order $1000 a week, but if I sell off some of the silver I have, I could feasibly get myself a car...

thats not bad for just 100 dollars worth. I found less in my 500 bag last night.
